Archives/Archivos Jesus called the twelve who accompanied Him “disciples.” The word itself is derived from another word—“discipline.” A disciple is one disciplined in the ways and walk of the Master. We are called to a God-controlled life! Every scripture you hide in your memory bank strengthens the foundation of your spiritual life. Phony "loved" can be smelled a mile away. True love—God's unconditional love—won't go away. And that love is what He uses to flesh out the truth that Jesus Christ is alive and has the power to turn people into new creations. What—how—does God want me to think? Especially when I face trials, temptations and tests! He has given you and me His own heart and mind recorded in His love letter—the Bible. And since there is nothing more powerful than the Word of God, when we take time to memorize scripture verses, the Holy Spirit brings them to our remembrance when we need strength, wisdom and direction.
You will always face tests, trials and temptations. The Holy Spirit will use these memorized verses to make you an overcomer in every battle you must fight. Go to work. Don’t say “I can’t”. Philippians 4:13 says that you can! Little men like me write many books that contain only what humans are capable of. Only the Bible—God’s incredible Word—is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth! I’m calling for Christians worldwide to stand against anti-Semitism. Israel will not perish. When you memorize verses of scripture—God’s very Word—you are putting His mind and will for you into your own mind. You are thinking as Jesus wants you to think.
Do you want God to become more real to you? Then start to hide important scriptures in your heart and review them faithfully until they are in your mind forever |
