Archives/Archivos It seems that those who love Him most have to suffer so many trials and temptations. In fact, much of the time the road is rough, weary and filled with obstacles. He's promised to be with those of us who love Him, but man, can't God make life a little easier?!
Remember that Trump, Gates and Buffett don’t have the recipe for a life that counts forever. Jesus does! On and on questions and fears come to the surface as each day’s news brings new surprises. No one has all the answers. But God does. And He gives His people light as it is needed. Reaching the lost does not begin across the world or across one’s country. It begins in one’s own home and with that neighbor next door. Jesus would rather have us hot in our love for Him—or cold so that at least we would not be comfortable in our sin. He will take the lukewarm and... You poor foolish people on earth. When will you learn? But I guess that’s the eternal dilemma. Men never learn from history, so they repeat the same stupid sins and mistakes. I know. I was one of them... It will take God’s “Elijah power” to let people see the difference between Jesus and all the substitutes. “Religion”—Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity-in-name-only hits a wall when faced with demons, diseases and death. Jesus Christ alone has all authority. Remember when Jesus told the disciples that His followers would do greater works than He did? Greater works? Of course! When Jesus was here, He was in one place at one time. Not any more. While the world applauded ‘wise and rich King Solomon’, the reality was God, angels and saints in the heavenly realm were feeling sadness and pity for ‘poor, stupid King Solomon’. He had it all, but ended up hating it all... Some of us have met with mayors, governors, presidents and prime ministers. I have. But I see that one thing happens to them all, just like to us who are not great but small. |
