THE GREAT COMMISSION; ITS CALL, CHARACTER AND COMMITMENT
Lesson 12 (Part 1)
INTRODUCTION
The New Testament is the full revelation of God's redemptive purposes - the birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. His total rulership yet awaits the future. The command to preach this gospel - good news - can be seen from Matthew through Revelation. For the follower of Jesus, the "Go ye" must always be a "Go me" in sharing God's love with others - whether across the street or around the world.
The following thoughts attached to the Great Commission - from each of the 27 New Testament books—have enriched my life and my love for the Lord. I gladly share them with you as together we "Go" to our world with the awesome message that "He's Alive!"
Don't merely read the key portion of each scripture verse that I quote. Look up all the references in your Bible so that you get the full meaning of context. I have used the King James version of the Scriptures except where otherwise noted.
