The Action Report
May 2008

Hello my friend,

I entered the ministry as a very young man in 1959. That means April of next year will be, God willing, 50 years. It's hard to grasp the changes that have taken place (besides my wrinkles—smile).

In morals (immorals), sodomy has become acceptable, including men saying “I do” to men, and women vowing to other women. Babies' skulls are crushed as they exit the wombs in late-term abortions. Marriage is viewed as a fossil of the past; live-in relationships are in, including with old folks.

In politics, men and women lie, cheat and make outrageous promises of “you deserve it all” to an adoring public too willing to bow at the altar of government handouts. Yet, wars increase, nations tremble before the sword of militant Islam, the USA sells itself—literally—to foreign investors, and the American dollar is pushed aside by euros, yen and other “more reliable” currency.

On the international scene (and national) weak leaders abound even as globalism proves inevitable and vital to long-term world “peace and prosperity”. The need for a great mind—a strong hand—a charismatic “bring us all together” personality—grows with each crisis—as Daniel's ancient prophecy of the man of sin nears fulfillment.

It's dark. It will grow darker. But that's when lights—all over the world—will draw more attention. The darker the night, the brighter the light. That's why I want to help teach 100,000 disciples over the Internet. It's why Shalom wants to help our brethren in China as they send 100,000 Spirit-filled Chinese missionaries across the Buddhist, Muslim and Hindu worlds all the way to Jerusalem with the message “Jesus is not dead. He is alive—and He loves you!”

It's why we're discipling Africans to reach the world and why we're calling the body of Messiah in Israel to think, plan and execute world evangelism.

The task isn't easy. Fact is, it's getting tougher. Some of Shalom's most faithful givers have gone to be with the Lord. Others have lost their jobs; some are in danger of losing their homes. But we do all we can with what God sends each month. And so we shall—until Jesus comes to us or we go to Him. If He tells you to help us this month, I'll be super grateful.

May He supply your every need,

Frank Eiklor

Jesus said many would come in His name and deceive the hearts of the simple, sinful and proud. Eastern mysticism and meditation is a big thing in the gullible West. And one day a “world leader” will appear on the scene with the persuasion of a god and the heart of a devil. Jesus warns His children to know the Scriptures, live in obedience to the Father’s will, and stay alert to the signs of the times.
They laugh no more. Now God’s description of how He will destroy the old earth and create a new one makes perfect sense. The splitting of the atom turned many skeptics into believers. After all, look what man himself is capable of doing with the atom and hydrogen bombs. Now the fear is that nuclear weapons are being placed in the hands of madmen who wish to annihilate their enemies.
God has blessed man with incredible genius. We stand in awe as we watch men and women in a room full of computers and high-tech instruments guiding and landing spacecraft on distant planets. At that moment, we appear invincible. But then a mammoth tornado comes—or a terrifying hurricane—or rains that flood whole regions and never listen to our shouts to “Stop!”—or the shake that removes from under our feet any confidence or pride we carry, and leaves us numb with hardly enough breath to even utter the paralyzing word “EARTHQUAKE!”. And man is helpless in the face of it all!
