The Action Report
August 2009

My dear friend,

Three important things to share this month. Please stand with me in prayer.

1) The transition to the East Coast continues prayerfully and carefully. Our West Coast office is now in Pasadena where Christopher Lucey, Shalom's Vice President, will remain until the end of the year. By then we hope to have laid a good foundation for new offices in New Hampshire.

Until further notice, send all gifts and correspondence to Pasadena. Throw away any old Wildomar envelopes. Thanks!

2) We're being welcomed up and down the Eastern seaboard with "Hurry up and come". The vision of a servant leadership training center in New England has been stirring in our hearts. I used to be on radio in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., etc. If the timing is right-and the doors open-I may use radio again to reach these great cities.

3) On the international front, a door is opening in Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Because of the volatile situation in this part of the world, we can't say too much until things actually happen. Christopher and I have been asked to launch a discipleship training center in a key area that can prepare believers to be strong witnesses for Jesus. We are working with Korean Christians who recently had two of their own die as martyrs in Afghanistan. Right now, please pray for God's perfect will and timing. Millions of precious souls need to hear about Jesus.

The days are very busy with critical decisions. Norma and I-and the team-are comforted by knowing many are praying. Your support this month is so important as we prepare to climb another mountain in obedience to the Lord.

God bless and keep you,

Frank Eiklor

Jesus said many would come in His name and deceive the hearts of the simple, sinful and proud. Eastern mysticism and meditation is a big thing in the gullible West. And one day a “world leader” will appear on the scene with the persuasion of a god and the heart of a devil. Jesus warns His children to know the Scriptures, live in obedience to the Father’s will, and stay alert to the signs of the times.
They laugh no more. Now God’s description of how He will destroy the old earth and create a new one makes perfect sense. The splitting of the atom turned many skeptics into believers. After all, look what man himself is capable of doing with the atom and hydrogen bombs. Now the fear is that nuclear weapons are being placed in the hands of madmen who wish to annihilate their enemies.
God has blessed man with incredible genius. We stand in awe as we watch men and women in a room full of computers and high-tech instruments guiding and landing spacecraft on distant planets. At that moment, we appear invincible. But then a mammoth tornado comes—or a terrifying hurricane—or rains that flood whole regions and never listen to our shouts to “Stop!”—or the shake that removes from under our feet any confidence or pride we carry, and leaves us numb with hardly enough breath to even utter the paralyzing word “EARTHQUAKE!”. And man is helpless in the face of it all!
