The first time, I was in
Lebanon when the Israelis attacked Arafat in Beruit. Another conflict came when
Saddam fired missiles into Israel. I shared fortified rooms with the Jews—and
wore a gas mask along with them. I remember thinking as I peered through my
mask at women and children sitting quietly in their gas masks, "Nothing has
changed. Hitler gassed innocent Jews. Now Saddam Hussein wants to do the same.”
Then another thought kicked
in, "Ah, but there is one difference between Hitler and now. Today there is an
Israel—a country where Jews can declare ‘Never Again!’.” Israel is not facing just rockets or even gas attacks But now?! Israel is not
facing just rockets or even gas attacks. Iran is stalling for time while her
rulers hurry toward their perceived destiny—nuclear bombs to turn Israel into a
wasteland. The words of the prophets sound with clarity. Israel looks terribly
alone. Only spiritual eyes see God guarding His land and people while bringing
"all nations” into judgment and Israel to repentance. ...these are the times Yeshuah wants to be seen and heard through His followers
Pray for my many Israeli
friends and colleagues—and my many brothers and sisters in the Lord. The One
who came 2000 years ago is coming again. And these are the times Yeshuah wants
to be seen and heard through His followers. I have heard "Come over and help
us!” in past critical times. If that call comes again, I shall be there once

the fear is that nuclear weapons are being placed in the hands of madmen who wish to annihilate
their enemies. God has blessed man with incredible genius. We stand in awe as we watch men and women in a room full of computers and high-tech instruments guiding and landing spacecraft on distant planets. At that moment, we appear invincible. But then a mammoth tornado comes—or a terrifying hurricane—or rains that flood whole regions and never listen to our shouts to “Stop!”—or the shake that removes from under our feet any confidence or pride we carry, and leaves us numb with hardly enough breath to even utter the paralyzing word “EARTHQUAKE!”. And man is helpless in the face of it all! |
