Ariel Sharon - the next Paul the Apostle?

Ariel Sharon. One of Israel’s greatest warriors who became Prime Minister. Then his health deteriorated and he slipped into a coma. Most people forgot him and thought he was dead. Then a recent article told us Sharon is very much alive—though still in a years-long coma.

I dearly love this man for a very special reason.

On my many journeys to Israel in my battle against anti-Semitism, my team and I met with various leaders of Israel, the first being Menachem Begin and the last Benjamin Netanyahu who later became the present Prime Minister of Israel.

But it was Ariel Sharon to whom I felt a special love from God. I knew he was one of Israel’s greatest warrior generals. He viewed me as a fellow warrior in my defense of Israel and my stand at the Jewish side during attacks by haters. I never had the chance to take Ariel Sharon up on his offer to spend a day together on his farm. I only wish I had.

Will he ever come out of the coma and walk among us? I admit I’m praying for a miracle—two miracles at that:

1) That Sharon will astound the world by awaking from his long coma with a sound mind.

2) That God will do for Sharon with He did for Saul of Tarsus—reveal the Messiah (whether in body or out) so that he will find forgiveness of sins and enjoy eternal life.

And wouldn't it make ears tingle if this courageous man would come off his bed to declare that he was encounted Yeshua Ha Mashiah—Jesus the Messiah?!

I know that sounds improbable, if not impossible. But I'm sure the same was said about the one who later became the Apostle Paul. Pray with me!

And pray for all the seed we have planted in many of Israel’s past and present leaders. And for Israel’s many followers of Yeshuah whom we teach monthly through our internet school of leadership. As the world grows darker, I expect God to pull off His miracles, signs and wonders—beginning in Israel. And I’m expecting Him to include Shalom and Eiklor as part of the process.

God has blessed man with incredible genius. We stand in awe as we watch men and women in a room full of computers and high-tech instruments guiding and landing spacecraft on distant planets. At that moment, we appear invincible. But then a mammoth tornado comes—or a terrifying hurricane—or rains that flood whole regions and never listen to our shouts to “Stop!”—or the shake that removes from under our feet any confidence or pride we carry, and leaves us numb with hardly enough breath to even utter the paralyzing word “EARTHQUAKE!”. And man is helpless in the face of it all!
