The Action Report
“You can’t just preach Jesus with your words but not share your neighbors’ pain with your actions.”
By Frank Eiklor and the Shalom Team

“Hitler was right!” “Next time not six million but all the Jews!” “Jews out!” “Israel must die!” Ugly stuff I saw painted on walls and synagogues in 1979-80.

That’s when God ordered me to stand up for the Jews and for Israel.

It was to be through unconditional love. I would tell all who would listen about Jesus. But even if they did not accept my witness, I was to stand at their side—at any cost.

We launched a Christian task force against hate in the Boston area. Then I carried the fight to Israel and Nazi death camps and crematoria in Europe. Those early days could be lonely, but more and more Christians joined in.

Jewish people cheered and even wept when we faced the bad guys in America who wanted to harm Jews and expected no Christian opposition. Israeli leaders and people shared their gratitude. Some Christian leaders, afraid of the militant hate groups, shunned me. Others saluted us and offered support.

Tests also followed. Some haters sent threats to silence me. Some Christians said I should just preach to Jews but let them suffer alone. Some Jews said, “Tell us that Jesus is for you Gentiles but not for Jews. And speak out against Messianic Jews.”

Our answers were simple and straight. To the haters:

“No threats will keep us from living out God’s love for the Jews, and for all people.”

To Christians:

“You can’t just preach Jesus with your words but not share your neighbors’ pain with your actions.”

To the Jews:

“Jesus is good news for all people. You have our unconditional support, whether or not you believe in Christ. But we will not hide His love for Jew and Gentile nor the fact that Messianic Jews are my brothers and sisters.”

We paid a price for such a stand. But…today more Jews and Israelis are taking Jesus as their own than at any time since the Book of Acts. Messianic congregations increase in number across Israel. And followers of Jesus speak out everywhere against anti-Semitism.

But a word of caution to my friends. Never hide Yeshuah from Jewish neighbors and friends, and beware of Christian organizations that do. Unconditional love, yes! But a sell-out of Christ, never! Check out where your giving goes. If you travel to Israel, visit Messianic congregations. They need your support. Help them. The same for organizations in America who help Israel. But ask the leaders of those organizations, “Do you believe that Jesus is the Messiah—and that Jews need Him as well as Gentiles?” Answers may surprise you.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, keep us in your prayers. We haven’t changed God’s message. Soon His voice of love and hope will go from Shalom throughout Israel and the world. We’re almost ready to launch internet weekly video called “MORE THAN TALK.”

I pray God will lead you to make us a part of your giving. And that He will keep us transparent stewards of every dollar you send.

The King is coming...and He won't be late!

After all, look what man himself is capable of doing with the atom and hydrogen bombs. God has blessed man with incredible genius. We stand in awe as we watch men and women in a room full of computers and high-tech instruments guiding and landing spacecraft on distant planets. At that moment, we appear invincible. But then a mammoth tornado comes—or a terrifying hurricane—or rains that flood whole regions and never listen to our shouts to “Stop!”—or the shake that removes from under our feet any confidence or pride we carry, and leaves us numb with hardly enough breath to even utter the paralyzing word “EARTHQUAKE!”. And man is helpless in the face of it all!
