The Action Report Truth through the Lies By Frank Eiklor and the Shalom Team I never thought I would ever again freeze in fear like I did over 30 years ago. But I froze again - in fear - a few weeks ago. The first time was around 1980 in New England. Jews were being mocked, threatened and attacked by very bad people. Swastikas and Hitler slogans were seen and heard. The Spirit of God pressed on my head and heart, "Your witness will no longer be mere words. You will stand publicly with the Jews and defend them from the haters." So I did - and threats from the devil's disciples were aimed at me. One night I froze in fear. "What have I gotten myself into? What about my wife's safety?" Old timers know my story. The awesome GOd told me this was His battle and I was His soldier. I was to fear Him and not those who could do me harm. Peace replaced panic and the Lord did incredible things. I froze in fear again only weeks ago. Millions of young people flashed before my eyes. They were being buried under the dirt of lies being shoveled over them by media, teachers, professors, Hollywood, even parents - evolution, homosexuality, sex for all ages, marriage just a piece of unneeded paper, no standards of right and wrong, unwanted babies - just kill 'em! And just one of those issues - homosexuality - froze me with fear. The cost that will come to those who hold up the standard of the Creator of life, of sex, of right and wrong. And who will maintain the standards when voices are silenced everywhere through fear and intimidation? But - and a very big "but" - who will speak the truth not in anger, mockery or revenge - but only in the love of the crucified and resurrected Jesus. Internet TV? Over 150 countries, including Israel? Millions of young lives desperate to see with their eyes and feel in their hearts that God is awesome and real? Needing to see examples of flesh and blood and taking their stand with Jesus? Needing to know that His love alone can meet their deepest needs? God has opened a great door. I cannot let the world's young people follow a lie. My course is set. And as always, my team is with me. But oh, how we need your prayers! After all, look what man himself is capable of doing with the atom and hydrogen bombs. Now
the fear is that nuclear weapons are being placed in the hands of madmen who wish to annihilate
their enemies. God has blessed man with incredible genius. We stand in awe as we watch men and women in a room full of computers and high-tech instruments guiding and landing spacecraft on distant planets. At that moment, we appear invincible. But then a mammoth tornado comes—or a terrifying hurricane—or rains that flood whole regions and never listen to our shouts to “Stop!”—or the shake that removes from under our feet any confidence or pride we carry, and leaves us numb with hardly enough breath to even utter the paralyzing word “EARTHQUAKE!”. And man is helpless in the face of it all! |
