No light. No hope. Lost! That’s why you must—you just MUST—pray for me and our “MORE THAN TALK” telecast to over 150 countries on the Internet. I feel Paul’s charge to Timothy “Preach the Word—keep your sense of urgency” (2 Timothy 4:2 Amplified).
We’re not just reaching men of other religions or no religion. What about the millions of “Christians” in name only who have never experienced Jesus? I just had a pastor friend, Tom Hughes, join me for four telecasts. God made us a powerful team. We spoke on the Cross and that sin is no game.
To be “very saved” you have to realize you’re “very lost.”
And we emphasized one word missing from much modern preaching—REPENTANCE—and that God’s grace is not cheap but very costly. What it means to be born twice. To have the resurrected Jesus turn us into new creations that think, speak and act different from the world. All four telecasts closed with a prayer of commitment. Now the Lord of the harvest has gone to work—all around the world. That’s why your prayers and material support are so vital.

After all, look what man himself is capable of doing with the atom and hydrogen bombs. Now
the fear is that nuclear weapons are being placed in the hands of madmen who wish to annihilate
their enemies. God has blessed man with incredible genius. We stand in awe as we watch men and women in a room full of computers and high-tech instruments guiding and landing spacecraft on distant planets. At that moment, we appear invincible. But then a mammoth tornado comes—or a terrifying hurricane—or rains that flood whole regions and never listen to our shouts to “Stop!”—or the shake that removes from under our feet any confidence or pride we carry, and leaves us numb with hardly enough breath to even utter the paralyzing word “EARTHQUAKE!”. And man is helpless in the face of it all! |
