Memorizing Bible BasicsOld Testament

Do you want God to become more real to you? Do you want to get to know Him better? Do you want to get to know how to discern His will from your own—or the devil’s subtle, sneaky will? Then start to memorize His Word. His Word is His will for you. God’s Word is also His clearest voice to you. The Holy Spirit will never contradict the Word of God. In fact, He uses the Word to guide us into all truth.

First things first. Memorizing the 39 books of the Old Testament. Next lesson, we’ll memorize the books of the New Testament. Then I will give you around 50 basic memory verses that every believer should memorize in the first year of being a Christian. So don’t be a baby Christian. It’s time to grow up.

Here is your first memory assignment—the names of the Old Testament books. Review them every day until they become part of you—like your name, address and Social Security number. Don’t say you can’t. Philippians 4:13 says you can!
