Memorizing Important Scriptures

Do you want God to become more real to you? Then start to hide important scriptures in your heart and review them faithfully until they are in your mind forever. The Holy Spirit will make them come alive in your life when you face tests, temptations and trials.

I’m giving you my list of Bible verses that I challenge those I teach to memorize in one year. Keep reviewing the last six lessons. Here is Part 7.

22) My favorite verse when facing temptation.

1 Cor. 10: 13 “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will

not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape,

that you may be able to bear it."

23) Stay faithful, loving and serving the Lord. Here is the reason why.

1 Cor. 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethen, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,

knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."

24) This is God's promise and plan for your life.

2 Cor. 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed aways; behold, all things

      have become new."

25) I don't have the power to live a pure and powerful life. But Jesus Christ does! And He lives in meand you!

Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I

now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

26) Ask God to fill you daily with His Holy Spirit. This will be the result!

Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law."

Do you have Jesus in your home? Is the Bible an honored friend and prayer a daily privilege? Does love fill each room? If so, consider yourself wealthy. Because you are!
This lesson is not for dishonest Christians. It’s also not for Christians who, though honest enough to admit they are living in sin, still rebel against asking God for grace and new desires pleasing to Him. This teaching is for the Christian who is serious with God and who desires practical help in how to know God’s will in small and great decisions that will bring either happiness or heartache—victory or defeat—peace or turmoil—God’s will or Satan’s trap.
Paul was in prison, yet he was free. He knew that the sovereign Lord Jesus was in charge of his life. Paul could witness to the crowds in public or to a jailor in a prison cell. Jesus Christ had died for Paul—and no price was too great to pay to be a follower of the risen Lord.
