The Action Report Israel and America - Linked by Terror By Frank Eiklor Israel and America. We’re now linked by terror. And for me, it’s couldn’t be more real. The December terrorist attack in San Bernardino exploded only 20 minutes from the Shalom office. And ISIS has its future murderers/martyrs through the USA. It’s almost beyond belief!
I was in Israel during past missile attacks. Then America was hit with 9/11, as mighty towers collapsed. We were there sharing the love of God only a few days later—with the ashes of death still in the air.
American reporters downplayed rocks being hurled at Israelis during past riots. Not me. A rock thrown through our car window in Jerusalem missed my head by some 12 inches before we were able to escape with our lives.
Today no Jew living in Israel feels safe. A youngster—even a woman—maybe an Arab neighbor—might pull a knife and stab an unwary victim to death. Fear is everywhere.
Now that same fear is in our midst. The threats are real. Islamic terrorists are on the march with hate in their hearts. And Israel and the USA? We are the twin targets for those who wish to conquer the world.
What should the followers of Jesus do? Our orders are clear and unchanged—GO INTO ALL THE WORLD and preach the good news to all. The Holy Spirit transformed a hate-filled terrorist name Saul of Tarsus into a love-filled Apostle Paul. God can do it again—and again—and again. Pray for our Internet telecast. That’s where the action is—it’s where young people go for every cause and reason—even to join terror groups. I want them to pledge allegiance—not to ISIS but to Jesus Christ! Our message is bold. That’s why it’s called “MORE THAN TALK.” It is not about religion and death, but about a relationship and life. And no force can equal the power of the Holy Spirit! Please stand with us! After all, look what man himself is capable of doing with the atom and hydrogen bombs. Now
the fear is that nuclear weapons are being placed in the hands of madmen who wish to annihilate
their enemies. God has blessed man with incredible genius. We stand in awe as we watch men and women in a room full of computers and high-tech instruments guiding and landing spacecraft on distant planets. At that moment, we appear invincible. But then a mammoth tornado comes—or a terrifying hurricane—or rains that flood whole regions and never listen to our shouts to “Stop!”—or the shake that removes from under our feet any confidence or pride we carry, and leaves us numb with hardly enough breath to even utter the paralyzing word “EARTHQUAKE!”. And man is helpless in the face of it all! |
