Lesson 248 - GOD’S RECIPE FOR REVIVAL THE REVELATION CONNECTION (PART 4)
By Frank Eiklor and the Shalom Team

Introduction

The Book of Revelation is not just about what will happen in the future. It contains God’s instructions on how to live today in order to prepare for Christ’s return. Revelation is a “Recipe For Revival”—to turn you and me into “walking revivals” in our world today—personal revivals that don’t fade with time, but endure to the end.

I have given you ingredients in this “recipe” in chapters one and two. Let’s go to Chapter 3 for more. I will emphasize the scriptures that especially warn me to keep the Lord Jesus as my first love.

CHAPTER 3

       (My Revival Key)

  • Man Sees The Outward But God Sees The Heart  (This has always been a warning to me against pretense, pride and phony posturing.)

I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are deadBe watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.  Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.” (Revelation 3:1-3)

  • The Open Doors God Also Has For You  (Christ loves you. You are unique. God made just one like you and has a daily plan—His open door— for your life. Spend quality time with Him—daily!)

“These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens: I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” (Revelation 3:7-8)

  • God’s Promise To Those Who Practice Patient Obedience To His Word  (Prioritize, day by day, studying God’s Word—Genesis through Malachi—Matthew through Revelation—and asking the Holy Spirit’s power to cause you to obey what He shows you. Our Lord keeps those who keep His Word.)

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” (Revelation 3:10)

          (My Revival Key)

  • The Delusion Of The Lukewarm  (Would it not be horrifying to receive the sentence of the lukewarm—those who “play the game” while Christ endured our shame?!)

These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.   So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.  Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.” (Revelation 3:14-17)

       (My Revival Key)

  • Repentance: The Road To Revival  (God is giving us time to repent and choose the gold of His presence and character, the white garment of holy living and the eye salve of the Word, the Word, the Word.)

“I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. (Revelation 3:18-19)

                 (My Revival Key)

  • Christ’s Incredible Promise To The Overcomer  (Yes, this promise blows all the circuits of my mind. But my spirit is challenged to “go for it at any cost”!)

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (Revelation 3:21)
