Lesson 251 - GOD'S RECIPE FOR REVIVAL THE REVELATION CONNECTION (PART 7)
By Frank Eiklor and the Shalom Team

INTRODUCTION

God kept His crown jewel—The Book of Revelation—for last. And He kept the apostle John, the only apostle not to die a martyr’s death, alive and isolated on the island of Patmos to see, hear, feel and record the incredible revelation of Jesus Christ.

And in this final book of the Scriptures, we experience the triumphant Jesus of eternity with His promise to share His glory with us forever. Past, present and future. Encouragement, promises and warnings. It’s all here in what I call “God’s Recipe For Revival—The Book Of Revelation.”

While we often pray for a great revival in the body of Christ, our Lord invites us to be a revival in our personal worlds—walking revivals who are so in “first love” with Jesus that others will be drawn to Him through our words and actions that are inspired by the Holy Spirit. Let’s continue looking at the recipe ingredients.

CHAPTER 8

• When Heaven Falls Silent  (There appears to always be sounds of rejoicing in heaven. Now, as God’s terrible judgments are about to fall on the rebels of earth, there is total silence in heaven – perhaps because of the impending horror. An awakened heart senses this coming judgment and lives in the Holy Spirit’s controlled sense of urgency to point others to Christ.)

“When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.” (Revelation 8:1)

(MY REVIVAL KEY)
The Incredible Power Of Prayer  (No sincere prayer to the Lord is ever lost or discarded. So learn to pray about everything. That helps to build 24/7 relationship with our Lord. Pray through the day as people and events come to mind. That’s learning to “pray without ceasing”. A revived heart turns often to its Source of life—the Lord.)

“And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.” (Revelation 8:4)

CHAPTER 9

• When Death Is Not An Option  (Today, many seek more life so they can enjoy more sin. A day is coming when many will seek death to evade God’s judgment—but not find it!)

“In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.” (Revelation 9:6)

• The Insanity Of The Human Heart  (It is amazing and demonic how hard a human heart can become in saying “No!” again and again to God’s repeated warnings to repent of sin. Never excuse sin. Never embrace sin. Keep short accounts with the Lord.)

“But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.  And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.” (Revelation 9:20,21)

Chapter 10

MY REVIVAL KEY
• When Time Runs Out  (One day, perhaps very soon, time will be swallowed up in eternity. You and I have only a brief time here to love and serve our Jesus. Don’t waste a day – or a minute. Seek His Word and His will, and the Holy Spirit will make you a “walking, talking revival” in your personal world.)

“And swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be time no longer.”(Revelation 10:6)

• The Sweetness And Bitterness Of Truth  (It is not easy to love and walk in truth. There is a cost to discipleship – but it will be worth it all when we see Jesus. Make searching and obeying the Word of God your daily priority, no matter what your feelings and emotions try to tell you.)

“So I went to the angel and said to him, “Give me the little book.” And he said to me, “Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.” Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter.” (Revelation 10:9-10)
MY REVIVAL KEY
• We Are Given Life For A Purpose  (Don’t be satisfied with just being “saved”. Ask the Lord to use your prayers and witnessing to help reach the world for Him. He may choose to have an incredible calling for you full time or part time— that of His ambassador to the nations. I know! It happened to me!)

“And he said to me, you must prophesy before many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.” (Revelation 10:11)
