Lesson 253 - GOD’S RECIPE FOR REVIVAL THE REVELATION CONNECTION (PART 9)
By Frank Eiklor and the Shalom Team

Lesson 253

BEFORE WE CONTINUE THE RECIPE

I still remember words from an old hymn: “O Holy Ghost, revival comes from Thee. Send a revival; start Your work in me….” Those words, “start Your work in me” become a deep hunger and thirst to any believer that wants to know that God is a present reality in his/her life. You can feel it in Paul’s prayers for himself and for us: “the eyes of your understanding being enlightened” (Ephesians 1:18) ; “to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge” ( Ephesians 3:19); “that I may know Him experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely…” (Philippians 3:10 Amplified Bible)

The Father wants you and me to be so in love with the Son, that Jesus Christ will be our “first love” and turn us into “walking revivals” that tell the world that Christ really is alive. The Holy Spirit is determined to make it happen!

In the following studies, I use the words “MY REVIVAL KEY” by special scriptures that warn,
correct or encourage me in my walk with the Lord.

CHAPTER 13

• Satan’s Delusion Over Temporary Victory  (A deluded Satan has often thought he would destroy the Church and rule the earth forever. Here we see how he will still deceive himself in his future attacks against the righteous. But he always loses in the end. Be surrendered and faithful to the Lord Jesus today and God will give you grace and power in every temptation, test and trial. Count on it!)

It was granted to Him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.” (Revelation 13:7)

MY REVIVAL KEY
• By Their Fruits—Not By Their Miracles—You Shall Know Them  (Many people have said, “If I see miracles, then I’ll believe!” Don’t ever fall into that trap. Satan and his followers can perform some “miracles” as they deceive people into following them to destruction. You and I must always remember Jesus’ words, “By their fruits you shall know them”. (Matthew 7:20) And never forget that the greatest miracle is the miracle of a transformed life that radiates Christ’s light and love in this dark world.)

He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast…” (Revelation 13:13-14)

Chapter 14

• The Lamb’s Faithful Followers  (God calls each of us to be faithful. That’s why Jesus spells “l-o-v-e” as “o-b-e-d-i-e-n-c-e” (see John 14:21). Meditate on the character of the 144,00 young men who will follow Christ wherever He leads. Then ask yourself, “Am I obedient today to my Lord so that He can use my life as an example of faithfulness to all who are around me?”)

“…These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being first fruits to God and to the Lamb.  And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.” (Revelation 14:4-5)

• God’s Terrible Wrath  (Never grow carelessly familiar with the God of Eternity. He is our Father in heaven who has demonstrated incredible love for us by allowing the Son of God (“in whom I am well pleased”) to die a horrific death so that our sin and rebellion against God could be erased. Jesus paid the price to give eternal life. Those who reject the greatest offer ever made will have to pay their own price—and it will be terrible.)

“If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” (Revelation 14:9-11)

MY REVIVAL KEY
• Faith And Obedience—Twin Pillars Of Discipleship  (You have access to God’s very Word—the Bible. Make searching the Scriptures your greatest and daily priority. Faithfulness and obedience to His Word will keep you from Satan’s traps and empower you to fulfill God’s will for your life and be God’s “walking revival” in your world today and every day. Love the presence of God, hear the voice of God and do the will of God.)

This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12)

• The Ultimate Rest Of God  (Life is a vapor. Some die young, but even the old live 70 or 80 years and soon there is that final breath. Each of us have just enough time on earth to glorify God if we learn and do His priorities. Nothing we do for Jesus will ever be lost—including the people we introduce to Him. Daily ask your wonderful Father to empty you of any sin, self or influence of Satan and fill you afresh with the Holy Spirit.)

“Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”  “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” (Revelation 14:13)

CHAPTER 15

• The Reward Is To The Victors  (Look around you at those the world considers rich and powerful. Yet all their riches and power cease when they die. Now look at those whose only goal in life is to please God and do His will. We will face many temptations and trials, but the Lord will give us His grace and power to be faithful to the end of this temporal life and the beginning of eternal life—just like these we read about in the following scriptures. Our Jesus came as a Lamb, will return as a Lion and will reign as Lord. Note: the words I underline are more words of pure worship that I urge you to memorize and offer often to the Lord.)

“They held harps given them by God and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb: ‘Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord, And bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.’” (Revelation 15:3-4)
