Does life have a purpose? Jesus had heard enough. He knew He had all their attention and that it was the perfect time to ask the most probing question of all. If there was no life after death, none of us would ever think about it, much less worry about it. But God programmed eternity into the brain and heart of man. We don’t want to die. We really want to live forever. And we shall. The old classical physics has surrendered to the new quantum physics, and the fragile house of atheism has been coming apart... Israel’s truest friends are Bible believing Christians—whom most Jewish leaders refuse to trust because of our insistence that while our love for them is unconditional, so is our conviction that Jesus the Messiah will prove to be the hope of Israel. There has never been another nation like Israel. There never will be. God proved through Israel His own unique reality by the reality of promises made and promises fulfilled. The whole world paid notice. But He didn’t stop there... It is God who guarantees that Israel will survive because He wills it. And it is only the Messiah who will bring a true reign of peace. Christians and Jews may argue over the Messiah’s identity, Jews need to get serious about seeking the God of their fathers.... Abraham the Hebrew and the progenitor of Israel. A chosen man—a chosen people. Israel would be His light to all nations and bring forth a Redeemer—the Messiah—who would more than repair the damage caused by Adam... Take a brief look at Genesis chapters 1 -11, the pre-Hebraic world (a “world without Jews”). Man—whom God crowned with His image, spiritual authority, full material provision, perfect surroundings, partnership with God Himself, a gorgeous wife, massive intellectual capacity, innocence of sinlessness and the freedom to make choices, had everything. And what did those early “non-Jews” do? They blew it... One book, the Bible, is mocked like no other. One God is attacked like no other as a monstrous tribal invention—the God of the Bible—of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—of the Jews and Israel. One historic figure is reviled—even the name used in profanity—like no other—Jesus Christ. One people—one nation—is hated, demonized and attacked through millennia—the Jews and Israel... |
