It was the end of January 2013 and I was face to face with thousands of youth in Argentina. It was to be the largest campaign I had ever been invited to speak to—every night of this great gathering.

What is it like to look into such a sea of faces? I am often gripped by God’s love as Walter translates my words and we give a call to action. You see, I believe the devil has a great fear of—and hatred toward—our youth. When a young soul sells out to Jesus, those early years of strength, energy and vigor can inflict great damage to the kingdom of darkness. Look at Joseph as God’s example of purity. David as a youth of courage. The three Hebrew young men ready to die rather than compromise their obedience to God. Timothy, who caught Paul’s vision of others, others, others—rather than join the crowd of those only full of themselves.

And what about those 144,000 Israelites yet to come—with no other desire except to "follow the Lamb wherever He goes.” Wow! Double Wow!!

A hypocritical world screams when young people commit atrocities. But those same educators teach them there is no God. Hollywood glorifies sex and murder. Politics is filled with lies, greed and lust. Parents divorce or offer few examples of a God-influenced home. And churches are often changed by our culture rather than being the instrument to change the world.

An army of youth—pure and holy—is being raised by the Holy Spirit

As the Shalom team travels and ministers, you can be with us in spirit, and we will report on the action. The awesome power of Jesus will continue to open young eyes and "turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God”.  An army of youth—pure and holy—is being raised by the Holy Spirit.
