The Action Report April 2007 My Dear Friend,
Explosions caused by men usually bring devastation and death. But explosions caused by the Spirit of God beauty and life. In late February and early March there was a series of God-caused explosions in Argentina. Yes, the same Argentina that welcomed Nazis escaping justice after World War II. The same Argentina where I stood horrified some years ago as I stared at the bombed-out Jewish center in Buenos Aires where many Jewish lives perished. For the past five years I have been invited to preach to great numbers of people - Christians and those searching for answers. iF my recent journey turns out to be the last one down south it will have been worth all the time, energy and finances put in. The indoor arena was filled with young people from day one. Each night it was the same. Faces as far as my aging eyes could see. They came with their doubts and fears. Sins and hang ups. Hopes and dreams. They came form their personal pressure-filled worlds of lust and sex. Of professors who mock God. Of fornication and homosexuality. Of internet porn. Of pressure to follow the herd instinct of "If it feels good, do it!" Oh how people were praying for me as I stood before those crowds with Walter Contreras, my translator! At times I felt like Elisha with the double portion of the Spirit of God. Mine was no message of "cheap grace" - "just give Jesus a thought once in a while and live as you are." On the contrary, it was a summons from heaven - from God. "Repent of all and be forgiven of all. Satanic appetites for God's appetites. No to self and yes to Christ. Die to live. Your heart for God's heart. And don't come unless you mean business with the Lord of life!" Did they come? By the hundreds! Packing the entire front of the great auditorium. Sobbing. Broken. Confessing. No pride. No fronts. No masks. Just a sea of youthful humanity that the Lord was talking to one by one. And those reached in the past years? They are growing into disciples. Into leaders. Into Argentine missionaries to the world - including Jerusalem. God always knows what He is doing. And today He is doing it in Argentina! An explosion of life! I know. I was there! So were you with your prayers and support. I'm back now - and reaching out to Israel and the world must continue. Your love, prayers and financial help are so needed. Thanks for all you do!
