My Dear Friend,

Does the devil have more loyal followers than does Jesus? If you only tune into the world's news reports, it would appear the answer is yes. Imagine! Muslim doctors in Britain whose medical practices were only a cover for their real calling - suicides for "Allah" in order to kill as many "infidels" as possible. Total commitment - to Satan!


But there is another story - the God kind. I'm privileged both to mentor, and to minister with, young people (and older ones, too) in the USA and abroad who have taken the "death pledge" - death to "me, myself and I' - so that Go can use them to offer life to others. Two of these young men, Walter Contreras and Christopher Lucey, will be with in in the harvest field of Argentina beginning August 14. Three to four thousand pastors and young people are hungering for fresh commitment and courage and have said, "Come and challenge us!" This is a new open door in the north part of the country.


With Israel and other countries also on the radar screen, I ask your prayers. With everyone I speak to - Jew, Gentile, or believer in Christ, I find hunger. With the Jews it's: "Tradition isn't enough. Is there such a thing as truth?" With Gentiles it's: "I've tried so many things but there's still a hole in my soul. Can Jesus fill it?" With those who call themselves believers it's: "I'm lost in the trappings and traditions of my faith , but you and these young people serving with you are so excited about Jesus Christ. I'm really jealous."


That's why I believe I survive on prayer. I really do . So many times across the world I have gotten sick (little sleep and not the cleanest food). and the devil's stratagems are wily. Like when steel scaffolding collapsed and almost crushed me in Argentina. Or the stoning we took in Arab Jerusalem. Or the recent experience at a post office where a car backed out fast and I went flying through the air. Asphalt hurts! Anyway, you get the point. I'm alive because people pray!
