Dear Special friend,

I know soldiers start wars. But can 38 soldiers for Christ stop a war? I believe they can—and did. Here is the incredible story in brief.

1) I was invited to minister Jesus in Kenya. A team of 38 Christians—young and older—mostly from the East Coast church (where I preach every Easter) would complete the team.

2) When war began to break out in Kenya, well-meaning friends cautioned, “Better not go now.” Word came from the land of the Masai in Kenya, “We need you. Come!” The Holy Spirit said “Go now!” and we did.

3) After arriving in Kenya (a couple thousand miles south of Israel), we heard that the warring political factions were about to let the conflict erupt. Our team made a circle at the Kenya/Tanzania border and we cried out to God, “Stop the war. We bind Satan in Jesus’ name. Give us liberty to preach unity and peace in Christ.” The following day the news broke. An agreement! No war! Our God reigns!

4) Our team had some of the best contractors anywhere in America. We all were part of building a large dining hall for Masai tribe children—floor to roof—in two and a half days! I mixed concrete with the boys. Pastor Bob Hakala and I were the preaching team. I spoke in crowded markets, churches and other open air meetings. Many came to Christ and did not want us to leave. My daughter (sponsored by a friend) and granddaughter (a computer whiz who was my assistant) did not want to leave East Africa. We saw and felt God’s presence, power and glory.

5) In a brief closing ceremony, I was made a “Masai chief” and handed their “talking stick” rod of authority that chiefs hold when they speak.

You were part of that team through your prayers and gifts. I was able to help many of the Kenyan people who have so little but who love so much. Please keep your prayers and support coming. We’ll walk through every door God opens as He supplies the strength and funds.

Hope to hear from you this month,

Frank Eiklor

I faced it all in the late 1970’s and 1980’s. We took our stand to awaken the Church to God’s heart for the Jews. God gave me a 4-fold charge to challenge Christians far and wide.
Yes, my thoughts had been many when that little bird fell helpless at my feet. I thought of Jewish eyes that had opened to see the loveliness of Jesus. But what about all of those who live and die without the revelation that the greatest Jew who ever lived has abolished death and guarantees life and immortality to all who trust Him?
The mission field is where people are. And people are everywhere...
