The Action Report
July 2008

My friend,

No one thinks of Gamaliel as a New Testament prophet. I do. Though not a believer in the resurrected Jesus, he uttered a warning to leaders that reverberates through the ages. It amounted to (Eiklor version): Lay off these fellow Jews who believe in, and preach, Yeshua. If they're wrong, their words will die on the vine. So will their movement. But if their message is true and you try to stop it, you'll be tangling with God Himself. Not a smart idea.

Two thousand years later, the truth—Jesus Himself—is marching on. He is entering the hearts of men all over the world—not as some suffocating, dead Christian religion, but as the Creator and Lord of life. It couldn't be any other way. As Gamaliel said, “If it be of God, you cannot overthrow it.” And no one can.

This month, let's take the Muslim world. (Next month, we'll look at my experiences with Israelis and Jews worldwide). Today, thousands of Muslims are coming face to face with Jesus through dreams, visions and other supernatural displays of God's spiritual realities. They often tell of being overwhelmed by indescribable love. I remember how when I was in Lebanon, Muslims invited me into their homes because “We feel love coming from you. You care.” In Jordan, I was hugged and protected by police officials for the same reason. In Israel, Arab believers embraced us for our lack of partiality—“You love us Arabs as much as you love Jews.”

Much of the Church is unaware of God's new outpouring of His Spirit—in the Muslim world. Don't be like these Christians who only equate Muslims with “terror”. Pray for them and look for opportunities simply to tell them “Jesus Christ loves you.” That can hit home beyond your wildest imagination. You see, Muslims know that Mohammed doesn't love them. He doesn't know them, because he's dead.

I love to witness to Muslims. I love to ask them their biggest needs so I can pray for a miracle through “Isa”—Jesus. Sometimes it's for a healing. Or for some other desperate need that they have. You see, if you don't believe that our God still performs signs and wonders, your words will often be weak and ineffective. But when Muslims see dramatic answers to their prayers, they take a new look at Jesus.

Shalom wants to reach more of the Muslim world. And I want to teach God's unconditional love to thousands of Arab believers in “Isa”. The Lord uses your prayers and support to keep us in the flow of heavy spiritual traffic—and that will take in more and more the world of Islam. Please pray. And please make Shalom a part of your giving. One thing I know—no one will be more grateful for what you do than the Shalom team and me.

His servant and yours,

Frank Eiklor

I faced it all in the late 1970’s and 1980’s. We took our stand to awaken the Church to God’s heart for the Jews. God gave me a 4-fold charge to challenge Christians far and wide.
Yes, my thoughts had been many when that little bird fell helpless at my feet. I thought of Jewish eyes that had opened to see the loveliness of Jesus. But what about all of those who live and die without the revelation that the greatest Jew who ever lived has abolished death and guarantees life and immortality to all who trust Him?
The mission field is where people are. And people are everywhere...
