April 2010
My
precious friend,
"WE
DON'T WANT TO OFFEND THEM". That
is what some Christian leaders who support Israel say concerning the Jewish
people. They may mean well. But they are not being true to the Jews
by being false to Jesus the Messiah.
And this is where, as a seasoned veteran in Christian/Jewish relations,
God is using this ministry and this servant to call Christian leaders to a
witness of honesty and truth as well as unconditional love. This is happening again on the East
Coast as calls come in for counsel and help.
What
am I telling these leaders? "Love
the Jews and Israel unconditionally.
Most may not be open to believe in Yeshua. Support them anyway.
Always. But never hide the
Messiah from Jews - or anyone. Let
your witness be bold but sensitive - truthful but never arrogant. Some will listen. Others will tune you out. Just continue to stand by them, as
Jesus does."
No
true Christian wants to offend anyone.
But not sharing what Jesus Christ suffered on the cross for all men is
the biggest offense of all - against God who gave His beloved Son. It is to hide the only answer to the
problem of sin - and allow others
to die and face God without the Savior's atonement.
Pray
for me as I help Christians to escape this "We don't want to offend them" trap
of Satan. One can accept Jews and
others as they are, without hiding who we are - lovers of Yeshua who wish every
person could experience His love, forgiveness and acceptance. Ezekiel (who warned his people) sure
agrees with me. So does the Savior
who said, "Blessed is he who is not offended in me." So does Paul, who was willing to be cursed if only his people
would be saved. See why my task to
teach this to Christian (and Jewish) leaders is tough, not always popular, but
pleasing to the only One that counts - God Himself? Do we need your prayers and resources to keep doing it? Yes, a thousand times yes!!
Our
transition is complete. The office
is now in Rancho Cucamonga, California - directed by our new Vice President
Walter Contreras and team. Please
discard your old envelopes and use our new ones with the new address. Also, the team wanted to offer my books
to you who have supported this work so faithfully. See the enclosed
flyer. I think they did a
great job and I hope you will want this collection for yourself.
Will
you stand with us this month as we strive to serve as examples to others to truthfully
exhibit the love of Jesus in action and word?!
We
need your help,
Frank
