God's Care for His World, and You!
In each report to you, I try to cover different aspects of our great God. This letter will touch on God's care for His world, and His care for you.As this is published I am in Spain. For the apostle Paul, it was the end of the world, and he aimed to get there. For me, it is being part of a miracle that began many years ago in Argentina. I challenged thousands of young people to fall in love with Jesus-to "get cleaned up, get filled up, get fired up, and get going!" Many did, including Gustavo and Fabiana who "got going" as Argentine missionaries to Spain. I helped them in the early days of church planting in Spain. God has blessed them with spiritual children, so now here I am again with other young people in Spain. We are believing that many will encounter the living Jesus and be set free to help shake their country, Europe and the world as Spirit filled and led warriors. Fire up a prayer right now for us! Walter and I thank you! Then there is God's concern for you. Many are suffering terribly. It will sometimes seem like you're the devil's favorite target. Like you have failed. Or God has failed you.I have often been there. That's when I recall the story of the apples. Norma and I were hiking the Colorado river many years ago. Packs were heavy. We were hot. "Oh, for a cool, delicious apple", said Norma. What? On a desert? With hardly a soul anywhere around? We plodded on-and then-I had to see it to believe it-our eyes focused on two round shapes on the desert floor. Apples! Two of them! Not hot, but cool!An angel? Christ Himself? Hikers now out of sight? We'll find out in heaven. But know this-God is in your deserts of sufferings, temptations and tests, and He will take care of you. Just stay in His Word and walk on through the storms. You will never walk alone! The team and I send our love and prayers to you. We will appreciate your material help whenever God provides and directs. Your prayers are deeply appreciated always. And don't forget, since God is for you who can be against you?

I faced it all in the late 1970’s and 1980’s. We took our stand to awaken the Church to God’s heart for the Jews. God gave me a 4-fold charge to challenge Christians far and wide. Yes, my thoughts had been many when that little bird fell helpless at my feet. I thought of Jewish eyes that had opened to see the loveliness of Jesus. But what about all of those who live and die without the revelation that the greatest Jew who ever lived has abolished death and guarantees life and immortality to all who trust Him? The mission field is where people are. And people are everywhere... |
