God's Powerful Love through You turning around Broken Hearts, Empty Lives and Desperate Minds
I've written many poems-a number of which became songs. One is called "Just a Little Bit Of Love" and a verse puts it like this: In this busy world of sight and sound, God's children need to take a look around: At people passing by in street or mart, that one you missed may have a broken heart".
Ministry letters like mine and from other ministries that write you usually cover only "official ministry". You know-like media or literature impact, witnessing campaigns, making disciples, Jewish and Gentile evangelism, etc. I always share the "big events" with you.
...the encounters often change tragic, even deadly situations into renewed reasons for living
But what about the "little events" that happen every day when witnessing to others is as normal as breathing? So much happens in those "hidden moments" of hour by hour Holy Spirit leading to broken and confused lives. And the encounters often change tragic, even deadly situations into renewed reasons for living.
Like the man from Florida who lost his fortune on a failed business venture and determined to commit suicide by driving off a cliff. He headed west and chose some mountain. Each time, something held him back. State after state, mountain after mountain, he kept putting it off-still heading west.
...he gave his broken life to Jesus Christ
Then in California some 3,000 miles later, he grabbed a telephone book in desperation to seek help. That's how we met. How he gave his broken life to Jesus Christ. How he turned around and headed back East after telling me "I'm going back to my wife and family. With Christ, I can face the future and try again."
Just the other day another of those "unplanned encounters" happened. A young man came to our home to make some repairs. Before he left, after some small talk where I thanked him for a job well done, we made big talk when I told him how much God loved him.
...this young man left our home rejoicing that God is real
Wow! He opened up, told me about his marriage that needed changes if wife and kids were not to be lost, and prayed to commit his heart and life to the Lord. And with the repairs made to his spiritual life, like the Ethiopian eunuch, this young man left our home rejoicing that God is real.
...just a little bit of love-what a difference it can make!
Broken hearts. Empty lives. Desperate minds. They're all around-in our families, neighborhoods, schools, job, and church. Watch for them. Just a word of compassion-just a little bit of love-what a difference it can make!
We never cease sharing God's love with others. We never intend to until God says "Job Complete!"
