The Mystery of the Missing Wedding Rings - God Cares About the Details

"A sower went forth to sow." And so we have sown the seeds of the great news of Jesus' aliveness in over 100 countries around the globe. From Israel to Jews in many lands. From Africa to Asia - Europe to Canada and all of Latin America -- islands of the seas to the mountains of Tibet. In war zones, behind the (former) Iron Curtain and in martyr countries where to love Jesus is to suffer persecution. From places of great harvest to places of great danger - from tribal jungles to the greatest cities.

What a God we serve

What a God we serve. And His supply of seed will never run out. Now the Lord has us in one of the greatest magnets of the world - Southern California. It seems like the whole world is here - best and worst - from all nations. Like one group of Christians my colleague Walter and I taught - pastors and leaders from different countries wanting to reach out to Israel and the world. Now they also have enlisted in the army (over 50,000) of disciples we are training over the internet.

Many of these Christian warriors are sowing the seed with their witness, watering it with their tears and reaping a continual harvest of lives that say "Yes!" to Christ. Pray - please pray - that God's supernatural seed will bring Him a harvest through the power of the Holy Spirit.

No rings! After 50 years of marriage?

And remember, God also cares about every detail in your life. An example? Norma and I visited family members in Arizona. After unpacking clothes and bags of food, Norma realized she had removed her wedding rings and misplaced them. We all looked high and low. No rings! After 50 years of marriage? Ouch! We gave up and Norma gave them back to the Lord.

Then I had this "could it be?!" miracle feeling in my gut

Some two weeks later, I was working in the garage and needed some paper bags for trash. I shook one open and heard "clink". I thought "a couple of bottle caps". Then I had this "could it be?!" miracle feeling in my gut. I reached in and -YES!! Two rings in a paper bag that we had thrown things in before we returned home from our trip. Ohhh, Jesus! Lord of our lives (and Lord of the rings)!
