The Action Report
Future Joshuas
By Frank Eiklor and the Shalom Team

It’s like looking at the ocean and seeing it reflect thousands of young faces.

Like I’m standing on the shore and calling out God’s love and Jesus’ invitation to be born anew and live to serve Him. Then it’s like the waves come in—waves of those same faces—lapping at the feet of Christ as He stands to greet them.

How can I describe the spiritual thirst of Argentina’s youth?! We returned from reaching out to thousands. When I called them to a decision, they surged forward by the hundreds. And this was no easy decision, like too often happens in the church when people say, “Jesus, be my Savior, but I will still be the boss of my life.”  No, this was the Spirit of God so filling that vast auditorium that it seemed like it would explode.

God made it clear: accept His Son and life will change

No more sex until marriage. Farewell and good riddance to drugs, alcohol, porn and other chains in the devil’s bag of tricks. Still they came—even running—to the makeshift altar in front. I thought of the destructive tornado in Atlanta that caused Walter and I to miss our flight and arrive one day late. Now it was like experiencing a constructive tornado of God’s presence and power as heaven reached down and touched earth.

These are the future Joshuas who are going to hasten the return of Jesus by reaching our world with His truth

Those whom we loved in years past have now become adults. We met some of them—vibrant and in love with Christ. One of these “old timers” had told a youth, “Go meet Frank and you will meet Jesus.”  Well, he opened his Bible and read it. Then he said, "I’m reading my Bible and I find Jesus everywhere. But I can’t find Frank.” How simple! How sincere! Well, he came to the meetings and He REALLY met Jesus!

God used your prayers and support to make it all happen. He gets the glory! Now on to the next battle. Please keep standing at our side. We need you!

To the Jew—the Gentile—the world,

Frank

I faced it all in the late 1970’s and 1980’s. We took our stand to awaken the Church to God’s heart for the Jews. God gave me a 4-fold charge to challenge Christians far and wide.
Yes, my thoughts had been many when that little bird fell helpless at my feet. I thought of Jewish eyes that had opened to see the loveliness of Jesus. But what about all of those who live and die without the revelation that the greatest Jew who ever lived has abolished death and guarantees life and immortality to all who trust Him?
The mission field is where people are. And people are everywhere...
