Lesson 252 - GOD'S RECIPE FOR REVIVAL THE REVELATION CONNECTION (PART 8)
By Frank Eiklor and the Shalom Team

LESSON 252

INTRODUCTION

We continue in our exciting discovery of God’s Book of Revelation “recipe for revival”. I suggest you review the first ten chapters of the recipe that we shared in Parts 1 through 7. In this class, we begin in chapter 11 as we see how the Holy Spirit can use Revelation to transform our lives here and now. That way, while we pray for a revival in the body of Christ, we can live as a “revival of one” in our world today. The words “My Revival Key” stress special verses the Lord uses to help me keep my own priorities straight.

CHAPTER 11

Temporary Defeat, But Final Victory  (It often appears that Satan and his followers will annihilate the Church of Jesus Christ. Yet these seeming defeats we believers suffer will end in final victory. You and I are on “the side that won!” Let’s live it! Men may kill our temporary bodies. God owns our eternal souls.)

“When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.” (Revelation 11:7)

• The Devil’s Party  (Here we see Satan’s followers worldwide celebrating the death of Christ’s two faithful witnesses. This has happened down through the centuries to the martyrs for Jesus. But God always has the final word! Pray for the martyr church and live daily a martyr’s death to the self-life.)

“And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.” (Revelation 11:10)

• When God Roars, Some Repent  (God is not willing that any should perish without Christ. Many have come to know Him when human confidence has been destroyed during hurricanes, earthquakes and other disasters. Here we see how the fear of God can cause hardened sinners to repent. You and I have the privilege of sharing our testimonies and God’s plan of salvation with others. The more we fall in love with Jesus, the more we will want to introduce him to others.)

“In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.” (Revelation 11:13)

MY REVIVAL KEY
• When God Says “The End!”  (Skeptics often ask, “Why does God let people continue to do such terrible things! Why doesn’t He end it all?” That moment will soon come when Christ returns to the earth, not to die, but to reign forever. Life is so brief. A heart on fire for Jesus redeems the time.)

“Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15)

• Another Verse Of Pure Worship To Memorize  (I have memorized ten “pure worship” scriptures in Revelation that I often offer to God. Here is number seven)

We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was and who is to come, because You have taken Your great power and reigned.”  (Revelation 11:17)

• The End Of Sin On Planet Earth  (From the time of Adam and Eve, sin has reigned and multiplied on planet earth like a horrific cancer. Even all creation groans to be released from this terrible curse (Romans 8:19-23). That glorious day is on the way!)

“The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, and those who fear Your name, small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth.” (Revelation 11:18)

CHAPTER 12

• The Enemy Is Defeated In Heaven  (Satan was totally defeated through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Now we believers have been given Christ’s authority to defeat the evil one and resist any and all of his attacks. A revived heart is totally surrendered to God’s will only. Then we are assured that Satan flees at the Name of Jesus and the Word of God.)

“And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.  So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.” (Revelation 12: 7-10)

MY REVIVAL KEY
• The Means To Defeat The Enemy On Earth  (Throughout history, God’s faithful followers have overcome Satan through the power of the blood of the Lamb of God, by the boldness of their testimonies, and by refusing to deny Christ even when faced with death. We must follow their examples.)

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”  (Revelation 12:11)

• Why The Devil Is So Desperate  (Corner a rat and it will fight desperately to keep from being killed. The evil one—Satan—knows that his time is short. He attacks with great fury, but remember, his power has been broken. As you submit to God and resist the devil in Jesus’ Name, he flees in defeat (James 4:7). Use your spiritual authority and you will remain a humble and enduring “walking revival” in your personal world.)

“Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” (Revelation 12:12)
