No matter what happens in this world, or what the future holds for you and me, there are five pillars of character and life style that our Lord wants as part of each of our lives.
Already in the infant Church false disciples, false teachers and false teaching were infecting the body of Messiah. Today's Church is also infected with "false grace" compromise. We need to take our stand for "true grace". Let's continue our study on this important subject with part 7 of our lesson on The Perversion of Grace covering the books of Philippians and Colossians.
The Church's greatest danger is not from sin on the outside but deception on the inside. A great deception today is the message of God's grace not requiring man's repentance. But true grace always works true. Lesson 83 parts 1-5 covered five parts from Acts through 2 Corinthians. We then paused for a break to cover other subjects. Now we return to our Lesson 83 study with Part 6.
This is the final of four lessons that list the books of the Bible and the approximately 70 scriptures to put in your memory forever. Memorize these basic scriptures as well as the names of the books of the Bible. Review them often and they will become part of your life. You will see a steady growth in becoming a mature disciple and there will be fruit in your Christian life.
We can waste time doing many things that are not important. But we can never waste time memorizing God's Word. Each verse we hide in our hearts is like memorizing a part of God's mind. We learn to love what He loves and hate sin like He hates it. And no matter what battles we may fight in the future, the Holy Spirit will use those memorized scriptures to keep us true to the Lord. So here we go into Part 3 of hiding basic foundational scriptures in our minds and hearts. God bless you!
This is the second of four lessons on memorizing basic scripture verses for spiritual survival and victory. I offer you a challenge and a guarantee. First, I challenge you to take the time to memorize each of these verses and review them so you never forget them. If you do, I guarantee you that the Holy Spirit will work His divine miracle in your life with deeper and more profound revelations of those memorized verses. When God's Word becomes a part of you and me, we will never stop growing in His grace, knowledge and power. So let's get started on Part 2!
